2 years

Posted by Abi Kwok on March 29, 2009

Tomorrow, March 30, will mark my 2nd year in the “real world.” These are the time when I really miss school. But who knows, I might find myself inside a classroom pretty soon. You’ll never know…;-)

One last for the road

Posted by Abi Kwok on March 22, 2009

Thunder

Today is a winding road
It’s taken me to places that I didn’t want to go
Whoa (whoa, whoa, whoa)
Today in the blink of an eye
I’m holding on to something and I do not know why
I tried (I tried)

I tried to read between the lines
(I tried to look in your eyes)
I want a simple explanation
(For what I’m feeling inside)
I gotta find a way out
Maybe there’s a way out

You’re voice was the soundtrack of my summer
Do you know you’re unlike any other?
You’ll always be my thunder, and I said
Your eyes are the brightest of all the colors
I don’t wanna ever love another
You’ll always be my thunder
So bring on the rain
And bring on the thunder

Today is a winding road
Tell me where to start and tell me something I don’t know
Whoa (Whoa, whoa, whoa)
Today I’m on my own
I can’t move a muscle and I can’t pick up the phone
I don’t know (I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know)

And now I’m itching for the tall grass
And longing for the breeze
I need to step outside
Just to see if I can breathe
I gotta find a way out
Maybe there’s a way out

You’re voice was the soundtrack of my summer
Do you know you’re unlike any other?
You’ll always be my thunder, and I said
Your eyes are the brightest of all the colors
I don’t wanna ever love another
You’ll always be my thunder
So bring on the rain
And bring on the thunder

Yeah I’m walking on a tightrope
I’m wrapped up in vines
I think I’ll make it out
But you just gotta give me time
Strike me down with lightning
Let me feel you in my veins
I wanna let you know how much I feel your pain

Today is a winding road,
It’s taken me to places that I didn’t want to go
Whoa…

You’re voice was the soundtrack of my summer
Do you know you’re unlike any other?
You’ll always be my thunder, and I said
Your eyes are the brightest of all the colors
I don’t wanna ever love another
You’ll always be my thunder, and I said
You’re my sweet soundtrack of my summer
Do you know you’re unlike any other?
You’ll always be my thunder
So bring on the rain
Oh baby bring
On the pain
And listen to the thunder

🙂

Stupidity

Posted by Abi Kwok on March 21, 2009

One thing I realized while having lunch with one of my closest college friends today was that I needed to move on.

I didn’t tell you this but for the past weeks I have been obsessing about someone. But talking to you made me realize that I should stick to the one who really loves me and who will be there for me no matter what. I know I told you that it’s hard to be an idealist when you enter into a relationship, but honestly, deep down, I am an idealist too and I still believe in happy endings.

I won’t go into the details of this anymore. Suffice it to say that starting next month, I will be moving on and I will be deleting all 200++ messages. I will also NOT be talking about it anymore. So if you want to get any information, I’m sorry, but I can’t tell you. This is the final release.

Just give me until the end of the month…okay?:-)

Just not worth it

Posted by Abi Kwok on March 17, 2009

There are people worth your time and there are people who are simply not. Let’s face it. There are lots of b*tches and a__holes in this world and, some people, when you take them on, will only prove to be a disadvantage to you. That’s what I’ve realized these past few days.

Don’t stoop down to the level of someone who is simply NOT WORTH IT.

I agree in the thought that people are most courageous when they simply walk away (I forgot where I heard/read that :-)).

So yeah, people who think high of themselves and people whose goal in life is to elevate themselves to a pedestal and bring others down are not worth wasting your time on. Their time will come 😉

Revealing a little of myself

Posted by Abi Kwok on March 14, 2009

I’m not the type to spill my deepest, darkest thoughts to anyone and everyone. I tend to keep things to myself, even from my closest friends. Yes, I’m weird that way, but I guess it’s also my way of protecting myself from what other people think? Yeah, I’m image-conscious that way. LOL.

But these past days, I’m experiencing too much stuff that I just can’t keep EVERYTHING to myself anymore. So I take a brave step and tell someone what I’m feeling. Spill the beans so to speak. But regret immediately follows because I’m not used to telling people what I really feel. I immediately thought, “Did I just say too much?” and I start fidgeting and getting anxious. I suck.

Anyway, I’m consoling myself that what I did will help me because if I keep it all in, I might explode — and I mean that literally. HAH 🙂

Random thought: Linkin Park’s “Somewhere I Belong” is playing in the background. Nice song. 😉

MANILA, Philippines—The Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) has launched a nationwide program that aims to educate children on how to resist the pressures and temptations of using illegal drugs and other harmful substances, Chairman Vicente “Tito” Sotto III said.

The Drug Abuse Resistance Education or DARE is patterned after a program established by the Los Angeles Police Department, which is a “comprehensive, long-term education approach to prevent substance abuse among children,” he said.
