Sketches of suspects in Koronadal blast out

MANILA, Philippines–Police on Monday released the artist sketches of two suspects believed to be responsible for the twin explosions inside a passenger bus in Koronadal City, South Cotabato on Saturday.
The explosions wounded five people, the police said.

Chief Inspector Alexander Sarabia, public information officer of police regional office 12, said the two unidentified suspects were male and female.

Witnesses described the male suspect as having regular built and who stands about five feet two inches tall and weighs around 45 kilograms.

He was reportedly a passenger of the same bus from Cotabato City.

He was seen carrying a bundle of paper when he boarded the bus, Sarabia said.

The female suspect was also seen carrying the same bundle of paper, described by witnesses as boyish-looking, with a large built and fair complexion, about five feet two inches in height and weighs around 60 kilograms.

Sketches were distributed to all PNP operating units in the region for the immediate arrest of the suspects, Sarabia said.

Two improvised explosive devices (IED) went off inside two Husky passenger buses in Koronadal City Saturday morning wounding five persons.

The explosion was four hours apart.

    We would like to correct the article above.
    There was no second Husky passenger bus in this incident. The second IED went off inside the baggage compartment of the same bus which was not detected by the bomb-sniffing dog deployed on site.
